In our town. Near a lake. By a trail. An apple tree. Loaded. For the taking. We made lots of applesauce and froze it. They're not great eating apples, but they make wonderful apple crisp and the flavor of the applesauce is delicious.
Well, allow me to offer, then, that if you are in the mood to make even more, please please please come to my house and pick all of the apples you want! We have a mini-orchard (five apple trees, a plum tree and a pear tree) and more apples than we know what to do with! If you ever feel like a trip over here, you're more than welcome to come!!
